Achilles 3 - 2 Coplestonians FC 30/11/13

Chris Leys challenges (10 mins)

Despite early pressure on the home goal, Achilles had the ball in the net after 10 minutes but Chris Leys was adjudged to have challenged the keeper unfairly. Achilles should have scored minutes later but Andy Coote managed to miskick over the bar from less than a yard out trying to put the finishing touches on Ben Taylor's goalbound header. On the half hour Achilles took the lead after good work by Leys set up Taylor. Coplestonians forced a series of corners and equalised through a neat turn and shot by veteran striker Bruce Rolls.

Dominic Arnold won a free kick on the right wing early in the second half, took the kick himself and found Keiran Donovan whose header bounced up onto the post and in. Coplestonians equalised also from a free kick, glanced in by Jack Baker, who had found space with an intelligent run across the defence. With 10 minutes remaining Achilles brought on substitute Ricky Deasy who scored the winner with his first touch. A long throw in by Mark Van Oene was headed on by Leys for Deasy, unmarked at the far post, to head into the top corner.
