Achilles 1 - 1 Leiston St Margarets 23/08/14
Achilles started brightly against an understrength Leiston St Margarets and took an early lead when Dominic Arnold set up Dean Tourney-Godfrey for a tap in at the far post after 5 minutes. Achilles looked to extend their lead but Gary Lambert pulled off a "Gordon Banks" save to deny Jack Wilkinson's header from another Arnold cross. And it was the goal post that denied Danny Allan his first senior goal for Achilles after 40 minutes.
Lambert continued to impress in the second half with fine saves twice from Tourney-Godfrey and then from Arnold as Leiston St Margarets mounted a desperate rearguard action. Achilles continued to dominate possession but the visitors were rewarded for their resolve when David Wilson drove home from 12 yards in the closing minutes for an equaliser.
