Achilles 4 - 2 Wickham Market 4/10/14
Wickham Market started in lively fashion and fully deserved to go into a 2 goal lead with excellent goals well taken by Michael Crowfoot and Sam Cresswell. Achilles were struggling to find any rhythm to their play, but did pull one back with a cheeky back heel by Andy Coote just before half time.
The home team found their stride after the break and Danny Allan could have equalised in the opening minute. On the hour Paul King could only parry a belter from Dean Tourney-Godfrey and the ball rebounded to Dominic Arnold who found the top corner from 10 yards. A rampant Achilles then added two further goals in 5 minutes from Coote and Kieran Donovan. Wickham Market showed signs of a comeback but were unable to convert their scoring opportunities into goals.
