Achilles 2 - 1 Felixstowe Harpers United 1/11/14
Felixstowe Harpers United had the ball in the net in the 10th minute but the officials consulted to award a foul on the goalkeeper. Minutes later Felixstowe took the lead when a Daniel Pryke free kick ricocheted off the defensive wall into the path of David Gibson. Achilles dominated the remainder of the half and rained crosses into the visitor's penalty area. Daniel Crump in the Felixstowe goal, under serious pressure, was forced to punch clear on three occasions in swift succession. Ben Taylor was unlucky to head onto the goalpost from Tom Deller's cross and Andy Coote was denied by a sprawling Crump as Felixstowe survived into the break.
Achilles continued to press in the 2nd half and just as it seemed Felixstowe had weathered the storm, Ben Deacon equalised from close range. 5 minutes later Tom Deller was fouled on the edge of the penalty area and Dominic Arnold scored from the free kick for the winning goal. Achilles survived a confident penalty appeal late in the game and a couple of half chances fell to Tom Childs as a thoroughly entertaining game came to an end.
