Achilles 3 - 2 East Bergholt United 22/11/14

Achilles took the lead after 10 minutes, Danny Allen converting Tom Deller's cross at the second attempt. Gary Hammond then made a diving save from Dominic Arnold's free kick and reacted well to smother Dean Tourney-Godfrey's follow up. East Bergholt were playing some patient attractive football and were rewarded by an equaliser chipped in by Liam Powell from the edge of the box. The visitors scored again on 45 minutes through Sean Gunn after a corner was not cleared.

Hammond tipped over a volley from Arnold as the game became very competitive in the second period. A long free following a foul on the goalkeeper was headed on by Andy Coote and Allen sprinted through to steer the ball under Hammond to make the scores level again. Jack Foster kept Achilles in the game with two excellent saves from Aaron Skeggs and James Phillips before Achilles were reduced to 10 men for a second yellow card to Tourney-Godfrey. Stretched at the back, the home team weathered a spell of pressure and a string of corners. However, it was the 10 men that finished the stronger and claimed the winning goal scored by Ben Taylor following up after Coote's shot had hit the crossbar.
