Dave receives FA long service award. Dave Morgan's Record Achilles’ Minors 1952/53 Achilles’ Res 1953/54 (‘til Christmas) Achilles’ Premier 1953/54 (remainder of season) Achilles’ Premier 1954/55 (Feb 55 ‘til end of season – National Service from Sept 1954-56 but posted to RAF Bawdsey Feb 55, therefore, played for station in the Ipswich Wednesday League and Achilles Saturdays) Achilles’ Premier 1955 to 1968 (but gap of approx 4 months with torn cartilage). Achilles’ Res 1968 to 1982 (retired at 47 when asked to take over as Chairman – still there!! – but carried on playing Sundays for Queens FC.) All approximate, but the nearest guess is 1000 plus games. He has received the SIL’s 40 year shield and the FA’s 50 year medal
