An 85th minute header by Dean Tourney-Godfrey saw in-form Achilles progress to the next round. Achilles now look forward to a local derby quarter final against Ipswich Athletic from Division One.
Achilles dominated the play but were forced to come from behind after Michael Campbell gave Stanton the lead with a pile driver free kick from the edge of the penalty area in the 55th minute. Dominic Arnold equalised soon after with a sweet half volley from about the same distance. Achilles proceeded to pummel the visitors goal but found keeper Andrew Mustoe a difficult man to beat and when Danny Allan finally got a shot past him, it cannoned agonisingly off the goalpost. The winning goal came from a corner met with some force just as the game looked to be heading for extra time.
