Achilles 3- 3 Claydon FC 11/4/15

Achilles salvaged a point in the last minute of extra time effectively dashing any hopes of Claydon FC maintaining senior status.

The home team took the lead after 10 minutes with a goal by Keiran Donovan from close range. On the half hour Claydon equalised when Lewis Main ran on to a header by Anthony Cracknell and shot accurately to the corner of the goal and minutes later a free kick into the Achilles penalty area was only partially cleared and Main thundered his shot into the roof of the net to give Claydon a half time lead.

Claydon might have increased their lead had Charlie Askew's free kick not cannoned off the crossbar with Jack Foster well beaten but it was Achilles that scored next through a deflected shot by Andy Coote. Main completed his hat trick with a neat finish to put the visitors 3-2 up with 20 minutes to go. Achilles made changes and pressed hard but Claydon defended well and looked like registering only their third win of the season. With time running out Achilles won a corner. Keeper Jackson raced up to join in the melee and got a touch in the ensuing scramble although Chris Leys was credited with the equaliser.
