Capel Plough 1 - 1 Achilles 14/11/15

A goal in the last minute gave the home team a hard earned point after the visitors missed several chances with their point gained moving them to the top of the league. They dominated for long periods during the first half with Liam Hillyard firing over from close range before home keeper Tom Williams made a great save to keep out a low shot from David Grimwood. Andy Coote and Kieron Donovan both went close with Grimwood heading just wide from a corner while at the other end Nick Middlebrook shot wide and Jason Bones saved a Stephen Morrison free kick. The visitors had the ball in the net just after the break but offside was given. Gav Van Oene had a shot saved before Coote fired home a Hillyard cross on the hour to give Achilles a deserved lead.

Both teams made substititions with the home side pushing forward in search of the equaliser. Lee Barrett and Middlebrook went close with the visitors forcing several corners which were well dealt with by keeper Williams. Both teams created further chances until the last minute when a Morrison freekick was slotted home by Daniel Alderson to give the Ploughmen a point after a gritty performance.
