Achilles 1 - 3 aet Grundisburgh 18/11/15 (Suffolk Cup)
Grundisburgh shattered Achilles Suffolk Senior Cup hopes with a well deserved win in extra time to win at Salmet Close for the 2nd time this season by 3-1 after extra time.Trenter fired over the first chance & then Achilles broke & Van Oe Ne's great cross was cleared to Hillyard, who set up Grimwood to blaze over. Calver set up Fike to bring out a low save by Bones & Fike then set up Wright & his deflected shot was saved by Bones legs. Achilles took a 23rd min lead when Ray could only punch a free kick down & HILLYARD drove home through a crowd of players.Trenter put Jackson through & Bones again saved his low shot before he kept out Trenter's diving header. Grundisburgh kept up on the front foot in the 2nd half & Fike got in & his shot hit Bones & rebounded off his shins before being cleared off the line. Achilles had a great chance to go 2 up but Hillyard clean through elected to cross & Matthews made a brilliant clearance. TRENTER burst into the box to hit a low hard drive past Bones in at the far post on 75 mins. At the death Hillyard missed a sitter clear through after Pryke's long ball put him in, he put his shot wide with only Ray to beat. In the 99th minute a great Grundisburgh move carved open Achilles & Mills slipped TRENTER in to rifle home & 3 mins later FIKE fired home from the edge of the box to seal a Quarter final place.
