Achilles 5 - 0 Kesgrave and Willis SF Bob Coleman Cup

Achilles outplayed plucky junior opponents Kesgrave and Willis to cruise to the final of the Bob Coleman Cup and a meeting with fellow Senior club Haughley United. In the first minute Achilles' leading goalscorer Liam Hillyard unleashed a thunderbolt shot from 25 yards that beat goalkeeper Richard Lynch and Gavin van Oene doubled the lead after 15 minutes turning in Lee Grimwood's cross. Harley Chapman looked Kesgrave's most lively forward and was unlucky to see his header go just wide before Josh Little placed a firm header into the top corner to give Achilles a 3-0 half time lead.

Little added a fourth following a corner and Liam Hillyard was fouled when in on goal and converted the penalty to complete the scoring. Achilles reserves also won 5-0 to keep them on course for the league title, Mickey Adams hitting the best goal with his left foot from fully 40 yards (he said).
