Framlingham 0 - 1 Achilles 2/4/16
Achilles secured a fine win away from home at high flying Framlingham. Achilles made it 16 games unbeaten in the league and ended Framlinghams 5 game win streak with a dominating performance. Achilles controlled the first half with Gavin Vanoene striking the crossbar straight from a corner and Sean Hanley having a goal disallowed for offside. Framlingham defended well and kept Achilles at bay for the rest of the half but without troubling Achilles goalkeeper Jack Foster.
Second half saw much of the same but the crucial moment came in the game when Liam Hillyard burst into the area on 56 mins and after a desperate lunge was brought down. Hillyard made no mistake from the spot to score his 35th goal of the season. Nearly straight after David Grimwood skipped past 2 players before firing a 30 yard effort against the crossbar. Framlingham caused Achilles a couple of problems through 2 set pieces near the end of the game but Framlingham player Vincent sent the ball flying over from 6 yards.
