Achilles continued their return to form to beat high-flying Wickham Market. Another solid performance from senior player Sean Bell was overshadowed by young centre forward Ben Taylor who scored twice and laid on a third to claim the man of the match. Taylor gave Achilles the lead on the half hour out-jumping Wickham Market custodian Ben Vincent to head in Dominic Arnold's high curling cross from the right wing. Arnold beat the offside but failed to round Vincent and Chris Leys' header from a corner was cleared off the line as Achilles enjoyed a period of sustained pressure before half time.
Taylor turned provider for Achilles second goal bravely hooked in by Andy Coote. Wickham Market pressed forward and pulled one back through Sam Baker from the penalty spot after the impressive Miles Powell was brought down as he drove into the area. Further pressure from the visitors was stretching the home defence and with five minutes remaining Jon Ince dribbled into the penalty area and placed his shot accurately into the far corner for the equaliser. Minutes later substitute Micky Adams sent in a teasing cross and Taylor nipped in front of his marker to turn in the winning goal.
