Achilles 2 - 0 Felixstowe Harpers United 23/4/16
Achilles maintained their position as leaders of the SIL Senior Division with a deserved victory but were made to fight every inch of the way by a determined Felixstowe Harpers United. In the 10th minute Liam Hillyard was slipped in by David Grimwood and Adam Dawson in the visitor's goal made an excellent save to his left. Achilles were dominating play but found the Felixstowe defence hard to break down until just before half time when Gavin Van Oene dribbled to the byline and cut the ball back to Hillyard who scored at the second attempt.
In a rare breakaway, Jarome Haynes outpaced the home rearguard but delayed his shot. Claims that Haynes had been pulled back continued and Haynes was cautioned and eventually substituted as tempers frayed. Achilles doubled their advantage midway through the second half. Joe Revel dinked the ball behind the Felixstowe back line and Hillyard burst through to cleverly lob Dawson.
