Bramford United 1 - 7 Achilles 28/1/17

Achilles beat Bramford for the third time this season and completed the double over Bramford in the league. It was a tight opening 20 mins with both teams having half chances with Bramford's Jamie Cowan causing problems with some clever play in the middle of the park.  The first goal came after 30 mins when Sean Hanley's strike rebounded into Lee Grimwood's path who stabbed home for Achilles.  Five minutes before half time Achilles midfielder David Grimwood's run from his own half created a counter attack. He cleverly twisted past Neil Calver and placed in to the net for 2-0.

The second half had barely kicked off and Paul Dodsworth finished from a Bramford corner to make the score 2-1.  With Bramford pushing for the equaliser Achilles broke forward again, with a clever touch from Kieron Donavon Sean Hanley curled into the bottom corner,  Donavon then found himself 6 yards out minutes later to put the game out of Bramfords reach. A neat one two from Liam Hillyard and Van Oene was smashed home from 20 yards by Hillyard. Neil Calver was then sent off for dissent for Bramford as tempers boiled over.  Van Oene fired in to the top corner from 25 yards and Liam Hillyard's run and left foot finish made it a comfortable victory for the A's.
