Achilles 4 - 2 Felixstowe Harpers 25/2/17

Achilles gained revenge on Felixstowe after an early season defeat.  Achilles started brightly and found themselves 1-0 after 15 mins when Felixstowe keeper Matt Ray's tame clearance found its way to Sean Hanley. He fed Liam Hillyard who smashed home from 25 yards.  On 34 minutes Achilles were 2 to the good after David Grimwood's clever run into the Felixstowe box - he stabbed home under no challenge.  Felixstowe started to come into the game and created a couple of chances with Hunn firing over but then some clever play from Ross Youngs who turned 2 defenders and Achilles goal keeper Jack Foster the wrong way to slot home.  Almost immediately after kick off Daniel Allen's run found Hillyard whose turn and shot found the net to regain Achilles 2 goal lead.  Just before half time Benneworth couldn't find the net after a free kick from Ryland.

The second half seemed to pass by with a few half chances for both teams but no real goal mouth action until Morris for Felixstowe slotted past Foster to pull Felixstowe back into the game on 72 minutes.  On 78 mins Gavin Vanoene's clever pass found Lee Grimwood who was brought down by Matt Ray and Liam Hillyard made no mistake from the spot.
