Wenhaston 0 - 5 Achilles 19/8/17
A confident start to the campaign as the Seniors eased past Wenhaston. A hat trick for last season's leading goalscorer Liam Hillyard and further goals by Gavin Van Oene and Robert Bucys made for a comfortable result. It was pleasing to see solid performances from the new signings and bodes well for a successful season. Another positive from the game was there were no cautions, although a less lenient referee may have reacted differently as the game became more confrontational in the second half.
