2012-2013 season

Grundisburgh 0 - 1 Achilles 10/4/13

One freak goal and the sixth clean sheet in seven games saw Achilles snatch victory and move into second place in the league table.  The goal came in the tenth minute.  Kieran Donovan chased down a back pass and his attempt to prevent the goalkeeper's clearance ricocheted back into the empty net. Achilles continued to attack the shocked home defence and were unlucky when first Josh Capocci then Andy Coote were denied by the woodwork.

Grundisburgh rallied and enjoyed their best spell at the start of the second half bringing three first class saves out of the visiting keeper Ross Charters. Achilles weathered the storm and Adam Wilson saved, at point blank, a close range header by substitute Gavin Vince. As the Villager's frustration grew, Harry Froud was shown a red card for dissent.
