Ransome Sports scored in under a minute without an Achilles player touching the ball. Close passing on the right side made space for a right wing cross converted by Jack Bell from close in. The lead was not held for long - Jack’s namesake Sean equalised from a corner and soon after David Grimwood was up-ended as he dribbled into the penalty area and Danny Garrad dispatched the spot kick. Further goals from Kieran Donovan and Lee Grimwood saw Achilles take a 4 – 1 advantage to the dressing room at half time.
The second half, although dominated by the home side, was rather stop start, riddled with minor infringements. Well taken goals from Sanchez (Ransomes 65 min) and David Grimwood (Achilles 85 min) completed the scoreline.
