In the last 5 days Achilles have enhanced their goal difference by 22 goals, 12-2 against Grundisburgh midweek and 12-0 in this match. These results highlight not just the difference in standard between the top and the bottom of the SIL senior division table but also the difficulty struggling sides have in recruiting and in fielding their best teams.
That said, there were some cracking goals to cheer the spectators, none less than the two 25 yard thunderbolts by Ivan Buxton and the 75 yard dribble that saw full back Lewis Kincaid score the twelfth and final goal. The other goalscorers were Gavin Van Oene 4, Connor Field 3 and Andy Crump 2.
